We do not publish a national average and call it your bill. At Rooted Mechanical the $79 Service Call is the visit. If you approve the repair, that $79 goes toward the work. If you do not, the $79 covers the visit. After hours visits are priced separately. Starting prices for the repairs we see most are on the rates page. The written estimate for your system is the price.
An attic, a crawlspace, or a system that is already worn out can move a starting figure. We say that in the estimate, before anyone replaces a part. A capacitor is a different job from a compressor.
